In-Home Alzheimer's Services

We recognize the many challenges and heartbreak of an Alzheimer’s diagnosis. Families
choose Happy Caring Place not only because we have close to 15 years of Alzheimer’s care
experience, but because we understand Alzheimer’s Care. Memory loss can be even more
traumatic when family members move their loved ones from home to a facility. Staying in the
familiar surroundings of home can make seniors feel comfortable, and more importantly,
safe. Although there is currently no cure for Alzheimer’s disease, Happy Caring Place’s
in-home Alzheimer’s care plan can provide reassurance to our clients and to their families as
they try to face some overwhelming challenges. The truth is, there is no one size fits all
approach to Alzheimer’s Care. Personal care needs constantly change throughout the
duration of the disease and Happy Caring Place can help family plans remain flexible.
We train our caregivers to understand these facts, and with our help, seniors can live
successful, safe, and comfortable lives in the familiar surroundings of their own home.

We help keep the lives of our clients enriched by providing personal care that:

  • Encourages your loved one to stay safe and calm at home
  • Promotes social engagement and interaction
  • Cooks nutritional and healthy meals
  • Builds upon social interaction
  • Provides memory stimulating games, painting, and crafts
  • Honours the senior
  • Provides lasting support to all family members

Finding Good Home Care For Dementia and Alzheimer’s Patients

We do our best to match your family and situation with a caregiver who will relate well to the client. They may share interests or personality traits that help them get along well. Because we take the time to do so, many of our memory care caregivers become long-term, trusted members of the family. Our caring staff provides emotional support and companionship, as well as offering stimulating activities like storytelling, reminiscing over family photos, and playing games, whatever helps the patient to feel more in touch and content. Happy Caring Place understands these needs may change overtime, which is why we offer our caregivers continuing education classes to ensure that they are aware of the latest information regarding Alzheimer’s Disease.
